Preparing for the 50th Anniversary

About the Project

In 2027, fifty years will have passed since the founding of Charter 77 – one of the most significant civic initiatives in modern Czechoslovak history. We are preparing events aimed at demonstrating the enduring relevance of Charter 77 for the defence of human rights and democratic values in today's society.
Project Goals:
A dignified commemoration of the legacy of Charter 77, educational activities for the younger generation, documentation of eyewitness testimonies, and support for public debate on current human rights issues and the direction of society at large.
